Like a lot of the Norfolk, VA customers we serve, the staff here at Hall Acura Virginia Beach loves a good auto show. We get to see new Acura models, and new designs of old favorites. Well, usually. This time, Acura is being a bit coy; they’ve promised a substantial redesign of the 2018 Acura TLX, but they won’t let us see it.
There are a couple of reasons behind the redesign. For one, a new design language that was first introduced last year with the Acura Precision concept is filtering its way to the rest of the lineup. That change started with the well-received Acura MDX redesign. It will continue as the Acura TLX gets the new pentagonal grille, re-styled headlights and fog lamps, and some other touches.
There’s also a philosophical element at work. Jon Ikeda, Vice President and General Manager of Acura, explains that the new design is meant to reflect the company’s commitment to Precision Crafted Performance.
All we’ve seen thus far is an artfully cropped image of the sedan’s front end. The rest will be revealed on April 11 at a special press conference ahead of the New York International Auto Show. There’s no firm date yet for arrival at your Acura dealership near Norfolk VA, but those details, as well as any others we receive in the days ahead, will be shared here.
If you’d prefer not to wait on the 2018 Acura TLX, we have the 2017 model — alongside many other excellent new and pre-owned Acura vehicles — in stock now. Just visit Hall Acura Virginia Beach today at 3200 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach, VA to find out more.
