The Acura brand is at it again. Recently-released September 2016 U.S. sales figures confirm that the world-renowned luxury automaker has crushed a few more records, including a new September record for Acura SUV sales and best-ever September sales for the Acura RDX. For you numbers fans out there, Acura SUV sales amounted to 8,849 units in September ’16, an 8.4 percent overall increase. A big contributor (aside from the Acura RDX, which sold 3,919 units last month) was the refreshed Acura MDX, which posted an impressive 14.3 percent sales increase for September ‘16.
On the luxury sedan side, there’s every reason to believe that a 2017 Acura ILX near Portsmouth, VA represents a great buy at our Virginia Beach, VA Acura dealership. This stylish, fast, comfortable midsize sedan eclipsed 1,600 unit sales for September ’16, a number bested only by the Acura TLX model’s 4,753 units sold.
According to Jon Ikeda, Vice President and General Manager of the Acura division, the Acura brand’s record-setting September (and overall popularity) is due in large part to the automaker’s dedication to Acura Precision Crafted Performance. Said Ikeda: “The success of the refreshed Acura MDX, the first model to showcase the new Acura brand styling direction, is further validation of the Acura Precision Crafted Performance brand direction.” Ikeda was optimistic that the impact made by Acura Precision Crafted Performance will only increase in the coming months, saying, “Step by step we are amping up performance as a signature for the brand and a clear point of difference over the competition.”
